An investigation continued Wednesday after a 4-year-old child was found dead inside a vehicle in Valley Village.
Officers responded at 3:41 p.m. Tuesday to the 12700 block of McCormick Street, just north of Magnolia Street and a couple blocks east of Coldwater Canyon Avenue, after reports of an unresponsive child inside a vehicle, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police said the child, reported to be a girl who was possibly part of a carpool, was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was not clear how long the child was inside the vehicle, and no further information was immediately available.
Temperatures soared into the upper 80s in the San Fernando Valley on Tuesday.
