A Silver Alert was in effect Thursday in Los Angeles County for an 83-year-old man last seen in Pacoima.
Alfred Luna was last seen at approximately 5:50 a.m. Wednesday near Gager Street and Laurel Canyon Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Luna is Latino, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighs 200 pounds, is bald and has brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a brown baseball cap, a black jacket, a blue shirt and blue jeans.
Authorities said Luna is believed to be traveling on foot.
Anyone who has seen Luna or knows of his whereabouts was asked to call 911.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
