A woman has been arrested in connection with what was described as an “unprovoked” stabbing of a man in Long Beach, authorities said Friday.
Officers were dispatched about 8:20 p.m. Thursday to a reported stabbing in the 3300 block of East Seventh Street, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
The victim suffered a minor stab wound to his upper body and refused transport to a hospital after being treated by paramedics at the scene, according to the department.
“The preliminary investigation indicates that the female adult suspect approached the male adult victim and stabbed him once in his upper body in an unprovoked attack,” according to a police statement. “The suspect was located and arrested nearby, and a knife was recovered.”
