A Silver Alert was in effect Sunday for an 69-year-old woman who was reported missing in Fountain Valley.
Lien Nguyen was last seen at approximately 6:40 a.m. Sunday at Willow Circle and Daisy Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Anaheim Police Department.
Nguyen is Asian, 5-feet-4-inches tall, weighs 130 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white bucket hat, a yellow jacket, dark pants, dark shoes and was carrying a pink floral suitcase.
Authorities say Nguyen is believed to be traveling on foot. Anyone who has seen Nguyen or knows of her whereabouts was asked to call 911.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
