Fire crews quickly extinguished a fire at a one-story commercial building Friday in downtown Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

Firefighters responded at 2:58 a.m. Friday to 1233 S. Hope St. between Flower Street and Grand Avenue where they knocked down the fire in 15 minutes, said LAFD spokesman Jaime Stewart.

The one-story vacant commercial building has previously burned and crews will have to overhaul the damaged property, LAFD said.

Approximately 34 firefighters fought the blaze and no injuries were reported.

Representatives from the city’s Department of Building and Safety have been called to the scene as part of an investigation, Stewart said.
