Firefighters were working Saturday evening to save a hiker in a grave medical condition located in Hollywood Hills West.
The man in his 50s was located in an area north of Nichols Canyon Road about 7:05 p.m., said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Jamie Stewart.
That location could be in Runyon Canyon Park, a popular hiking destination in an area between Mulholland Drive and Hollywood Boulevard.
“LAFD has lowered a rescuer to the patient and medical treatment is being administered,” Stewart said.
The patient could then be airlifted to a hospital for treatment.
The exact cause of his medical condition or injury was not available.
