A man was stabbed following a brief verbal dispute with a suspect in Long Beach, authorities said Saturday.
Officers were sent to the 6900 block of Atlantic Avenue at about 6:40 p.m. Friday regarding a stabbing and located the victim, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
The suspect fled prior to officers’ arrival.
“The preliminary investigation indicates that the male adult suspect approached the victim and stabbed him after a brief verbal dispute,” according to a police statement.
Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital, where he was treated for his non-life-threatening injuries.
