A man was killed Sunday when a driver crashed into a parked vehicle in downtown Los Angeles.
The crash was reported at 11:53 a.m. Sunday at Alameda and Bay streets, according to Officer D. Orris of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.
The man, believed about 20 years old, was a passenger in a vehicle that was northbound on Alameda when it struck the parked vehicle, Orris said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was unclear if anyone was in the parked vehicle.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
