A car crashed into a tree Sunday evening in Pomona killing one man and sending another to a hospital.
The solo vehicle crash occurred about 7 p.m. Sunday at Santa Clara Drive and Trabuco Place, near Ranch Hills Elementary School, Pomona Police Lt. I. Miller told City News Service.
The man in the passenger seat was pronounced dead at the scene and the man driving the car was taken by ambulance to a hospital in unknown condition, Miller said.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known. An investigation was underway at the scene, he said.
Video from the scene showed a dark sedan with a demolished front end.
