A man was wounded during a drive-by shooting in a Sun Valley neighborhood, authorities said Monday.
The shooting occurred at 10:49 p.m. Sunday at Cantara Street and Aura Avenue, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.
The 32-year-old man was walking in the area when an unknown suspect approached him in a vehicle, pulled out a handgun and shot him, then drove away, the spokesman said.
The victim went to his home and called the Los Angeles Fire Department, the spokesman said. Paramedics took him to a hospital where he had stable vital signs.
The shooting was under investigation, he said.
