The California Highway Patrol issued a Silver Alert to help the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department locate an at-risk 74-year-old man missing from Carson, authorities said Monday.

Ricardo Vasquez was last seen about 8 p.m. Wednesday at Carson and Dolores streets, according to the CHP. He was believed to have been on foot.

Vasquez is Hispanic, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, 160 pounds, with white hair and brown eyes, last seen wearing a black hat, black jacket, black shirt and black pants.

His family is concerned because he has medical conditions that require daily medication.

Anyone who sees Vasquez or knows his location was urged to call 911.

The CHP activates a Silver Alert when an elderly or developmentally or cognitively impaired person goes missing and is determined to be at-risk to spread the word and help locate them more quickly.
