Authorities investigated reports of an armed person in Palm Desert, but found no suspect, they said.
Deputies responded to a report of an armed individual at 6:17 p.m. Monday in the area of Highway 111 and Fred Waring Drive, according to Lt. Deirdre Vickers of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
They conducted a sweep in the area, but could not find anyone matching a description that was provided to them.
No injuries were reported, and authorities said there was no threat to the area.
