Additional potential victims of a 35-year-old man suspected of sexual assault were being sought by police Tuesday as the suspect remained jailed.
Detectives assigned to the Los Angeles Police Department’s Foothill station Sexual Assault Division were investigating leads into additional potential victims following a reported crime in the area of San Fernando Road and Sheldon Street, according to the LAPD.
Police said Agustin Vidana is being investigated for multiple alleged sexual assaults reported by victims, prompting Foothill detectives to investigate similar offenses that may have occurred in the area and release a photo of Vidana in hopes of encouraging potential additional victims to come forward.
Vidana is believed to be unhoused but frequents Sun Valley and has claimed residency, police said, noting that he is suspected of allegedly approaching women walking within the vicinity with the intent to engage in a sexual relationship.
Those with information regarding the alleged assaults or victims who wish to come forward were urged to contact LAPD Detective Theodore Bridges or Detective Michelle Gomez at 323-561-3277, 37923@lapd.online or 34514@lapd.online.
