A high school in the Mid-Wilshire district of Los Angeles was placed on lockdown Wednesday after someone reported a student had threatened them with a firearm during a road rage incident and then entered the campus.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a woman called around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday to report a juvenile male had threatened her with a firearm during a road rage incident, and she followed the suspect to Los Angeles High School, where she saw the boy enter school property.

The suspect was taken into custody by Los Angeles School Police Department officers and a search was launched for the firearm, which was not immediately located.

According to a statement from the Los Angeles Unified School District, a search for weapons was being conducted on the campus.

According to a report from the scene, two other youths — possibly friends of the suspect — were also taken into custody, and the boy suspected of brandishing the gun was being uncooperative with investigators.
