Police Wednesday are investigating the death of a woman who was killed inside a laundromat in Manhattan Beach when a Mercedes-Benz sport utility vehicle crashed through its front door.
Officers responded around 8:05 p.m. Tuesday to the Suds & Duds Laundromat at 975 N. Aviation Blvd., after receiving reports about a crash, according to the Manhattan Beach Police Department.
The victim’s identity was not released by police.
The police department did not release the name or disposition of the driver of the SUV that crashed through the laundromat’s storefront.
Police said they do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
