A 37-year-old Perris woman was killed and two people were hospitalized in critical condition as a result of a two-vehicle collision Sunday in Moreno Valley.
Riverside County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded at 5:35 a.m. Sunday to the intersection of Perris Boulevard and San Michele Road, according to Sheriff’s Sgt. Marcos Acosta.
Driver Diana Diaz was pronounced dead at the scene, Acosta said. Her passenger was rushed to a hospital in critical condition, as was the driver of the other vehicle. Passengers of that vehicle were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
“It is unknown at this time if alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the collision,” Acosta said. “The cause of the collision remains under investigation.”
