A person was killed during a multi-vehicle crash Sunday morning on the Golden State (5) Freeway in Pacoima, authorities said.
The crash occurred about 3:35 a.m. on the northbound freeway at Terra Bella Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Firefighters and paramedics dispatched to the location at 3:39 a.m. pronounced one person dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The crash involved a white Honda sedan and at least two other vehicles, the CHP said.
The CHP issued a SigAlert at 3:53 a.m. closing northbound I-5 lane Nos. 1-6. The SigAlert was extended for additional two hours at 5:54 a.m.
