Two suspects were arrested by Los Angeles Police Department officers after they shot a victim in South Los Angeles, police said Tuesday.
LAPD officers from the department’s Newton Station responded at 10:46 p.m. Monday to East 67th and South San Pedro streets regarding an argument between one of the suspects and a victim. The confrontation turned violent when the victim pushed the suspect, an LAPD spokesman told City News Service.
Both suspects then chased the victim, shooting him in the leg before the officers arrived, police said.
The suspects were arrested without incident. The victim was taken to a hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel in stable condition.
