A 35-year-old man killed in an Echo Park shooting was positively identified Friday.
The shooting occurred at 9:10 p.m. Sunday outside an apartment building at 1126 White Knoll Drive, adjacent to Dodger Stadium, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman.
The victim was shot by a male suspect who fled the scene in a vehicle, she said.
The man taken to a hospital by ambulance, where he died from gunshot wounds was identified as Michael Ortega. His city of residence was not available.
