A brush fire in Azna scorched about 30 acres of vegetation Thursday evening.
Firefighters responded at approximately 6:35 p.m. Thursday to the 39300 block of Rolling Hills Road to reports of visible smoke and fire, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The blaze grew to approximately 30 acres before being contained by 8:30 p.m.
Fire crews worked collaboratively by air and on the ground to prevent the fire from spreading further as they established containment lines and laid hose lines around the perimeter, officials said.
Road closures included Kenworthy Bautista Road from Burnt Valley Road to Terwilliger Road and Granite Gulley Road from Terwilliger Road to Rolling Hills Road.
