A driver was killed Friday in a single-vehicle crash on the Ventura (134) Freeway where it crosses the Golden State (5) Freeway near the Los Angeles Zoo in the Griffith Park area.
The crash was reported about 6:05 a.m. Friday on the 134 west close to the 5 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two lanes of the westbound 134 at the Golden State Freeway were closed and a SigAlert was issued at 7:05 a.m. and extended at 9 a.m.
Westbound traffic on the 134 backed up to Glendale Avenue.
