An Endangered Missing Advisory was activated Tuesday for an 8-year-old boy suspected of being abducted by a 36-year-old man with the same last name in East Los Angeles.
Aizen Sanchez was last seen with Decky Sanchez at 4 p.m. Sunday near Northside Drive and Easton Street, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities identified Sanchez as a suspect in Aizen’s disappearance.
Aizen was described as a 4-foot-tall boy weighing 80 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and gray shorts.
Sanchez was described as a 5-foot-5-inch-tall man weighing 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing a black-and-blue shirt and jeans. The relationship between Aizen and Sanchez was not disclosed.
Anyone with information regarding Aizen’s or Sanchez’s whereabouts was urged to call 911.
The advisory is also in effect in San Bernadino, Riverside, Kern and San Diego counties.
