A police pursuit of a hit-and-run suspect ended in the Nickerson Gardens housing development in Watts Friday evening, where two people were taken into custody after fleeing from the vehicle.
The pursuit traveled through South Los Angeles before the suspect vehicle entered the apartment complex near Compton Avenue and East 112th Street, where it reached a dead end.
The driver fled on foot before officers with the Los Angeles Police Department took him into custody. A passenger also exited the vehicle and was detained.
Authorities did not immediately release additional details about the hit-and-run investigation or what charges the suspects may face.
