A man was fatally wounded early Monday when he was stabbed during a fight with another man in the Vermont-Slauson neighborhood of South Los Angeles.
The stabbing was reported at 12:50 a.m. Monday at 64th Street and Vermont Avenue, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.
The two men got into an argument that evolved into a fight and the suspect stabbed the victim before fleeing the scene, the spokesman said.
Paramedics rushed the victim to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, said the officer. His name was not released pending notification of relatives.
