One person suffered minor injuries Thursday in a fire that engulfed at least 10 vehicles in a Pacoima salvage yard.

Firefighters responded at approximately 4:40 p.m. Thursday to the 12100 block of West Brandford Street, where they took a defensive stance against the blaze, using heavy streams of water from the yard’s exterior to battle the flames, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The fire was contained within 45 minutes, with crews finding one person injured, who was medically evaluated but refused further treatment, according to the department. The nature of the injury was not disclosed.

No firefighters were injured.

Arson investigators were notified, but the cause of the blaze was not immediately known.
