Authorities continued their investigation Thursday into a fire in Palm Springs that left one person injured.
The blaze was reported about 6:15 p.m. Wednesday along Tramway Road near state Route 111, according to the Palm Springs Fire Department.
The agency stated that arriving crews encountered a small fire burning within an encampment that had not extended into the surrounding vegetation. Crews extinguished the fire at 6:25 p.m.
An unidentified adult sustained minor burn injuries to the hands and arms and was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to a local hospital for further medical evaluation, officials said.
No structures were threatened.
