Authorities Thursday were seeking the whereabouts of a 76-year-old man with dementia and diabetes who went missing from the Vermont Square neighborhood of South Los Angeles.

Albert Brown was last seen on foot Monday in the 4100 block of Dalton Avenue, near the intersection of Normandie Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Brown is also the subject of a Silver Alert issued by the California Highway Patrol on behalf of the LAPD.

The missing man is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall, about 200 pounds with brown eyes and a bald head. He was wearing a black sweater and black hat with the letters “AJ” on it. Brown also uses a burgundy-colored walker.

Anyone with information regarding Brown’s whereabouts was urged to call the LAPD at 213-996-1800 or dial 911.
