A boy was fatally stabbed in El Monte Friday.
El Monte Police Department officers and detectives from the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau, responded at approximately 1 p.m. Friday to the 2600 block of Potrero Avenue, about a quarter-mile south of Garvey Avenue, to conduct a death investigation, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries.
