Investigators sought the public’s help Monday in tracking down a driver who hit and severely injured a man in his 70s before leaving the scene in downtown Los Angeles last month.
The crash was reported about 11:55 p.m. June 3 at the intersection of Ninth and Hope streets, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
A red SUV was heading east on Ninth and turning left onto northbound Hope Street when it hit the pedestrian, who was crossing Hope Street in a marked crosswalk.
Paramedics took the man to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.
An update on his condition was not immediately available.
