Police sought the public’s assistance Tuesday in identifying a female pedestrian killed in a traffic collision in Hollywood in mid-April.
The collision was reported at approximately 5:15 a.m. on April 10 near Santa Monica Boulevard and Western Avenue, where a gray Nissan Rogue traveling east on Santa Monica struck the pedestrian in the No. 1 lane while she was inside a marked crosswalk, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The driver of the vehicle stopped and rendered aid to the victim until first responders arrived, police said. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the location and took over providing immediate medical attention to the victim before taking her to a hospital, where she later died.
The pedestrian has not been identified as LAPD West Traffic Division investigators continue looking into the fatal collision.
“Drivers are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves,” the department said in a statement.
