A man was hospitalized after he was shot near the Artesia (91) Freeway in Artesia, authorities said Wednesday.
The shooting occurred just after 10 p.m. Tuesday on Pioneer Boulevard at the Artesia Freeway, according to Lt. D. Docuyanan of the Lakewood Sheriff’s Station.
The man was taken to a hospital by ambulance for treatment of wounds not believed life-threatening, Docuyanan said.
Suspect information was not immediately available, he said. The shooting was under investigation.
