A man in his 20s was shot in South Los Angeles Tuesday evening and hospitalized in critical condition.
Officers responded at approximately 8:50 p.m. Tuesday to the 600 block of West 58th Street, between Figueroa and Hoover streets, to reports of shots fired, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police said a man was taken to a hospital in critical condition following the shooting.
Details about what led up to the shooting remain under investigation.
Detectives described the suspect only as a man who remained outstanding, police said.
