An 11-year-old boy who went missing in South Los Angeles has been found, authorities said Wednesday.

Bryce Williams was initially reported missing after he was last seen at 1:30 p.m. on July 19 in the 9100 block of Budlong Avenue. His family had expressed deep concern for his well-being, prompting a search by detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s South Los Angeles Station.

Prior to being found, authorities circulated a physical description of the boy to the public, noting he was 5 feet tall and 100 pounds, with shaved black hair, brown eyes, and scars on his nose and upper lip.

The sheriff’s Missing Persons Unit confirmed the boy had been successfully located.

“Thank you to the public, the media, and deputy personnel for their tireless efforts in the search for Bryce,” the department said in a statement.
