A passenger vehicle and a Metro A Line train collided Thursday near Pico Boulevard in downtown Los Angeles, leaving one person with minor injuries and temporarily disrupting rail service in the area.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the collision was reported at about 7:35 a.m. in the 500 block of West Pico Boulevard, near Flower Street.
Fire officials said about 60 passengers were escorted off the train and assessed at the scene. One person reported minor injuries, while the driver of the vehicle was uninjured.
The A Line tracks were briefly shut down while crews responded to the collision, but service returned to normal a short time later.
Los Angeles Police Department Officer Charles Miller told City News Service the investigation into what caused the crash was continuing.
