A person was killed Thursday when a light-colored sedan crashed into an unknown object on the San Diego (5) Freeway in Mission Viejo and caught fire.
The crash was reported at 12:09 a.m. Thursday on the Oso Parkway off-ramp from the southbound San Diego Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A witness told the CHP the vehicle was on fire and a person was trapped inside. Several drivers stopped to try to help.
Crash details were not available but the CHP labeled the incident as a fatality.
Don’t worry folks, if it was a Tesla they would have said so.
