A male pedestrian died Thursday when he was struck by an SUV while sitting in a traffic lane in Koreatown.
The pedestrian was sitting in the southbound far right lane of Vermont Avenue south of Seventh Street at 12:35 a.m. Thursday when he was struck by the southbound Chevrolet SUV, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman told City News Service.
The pedestrian’s name and age were not available.
The SUV driver remained at the scene, the spokesman said.
News video showed officers putting a white canopy around the pedestrian’s body as the investigation got underway.
It’s not a Hit & Run if the driver remained at the scene.
