An Endangered Missing Advisory was canceled Friday after a 45-year-old man who was reported missing from Sun Valley was located.
James Word had been last seen around 12:20 a.m. Wednesday near Sunland Boulevard and Penrose Street, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Word has since been located, but details about when or where he was found were not provided.
The CHP issues an Endangered Missing Advisory to help locate children and other at-risk people who have been abducted or are unable to care for themselves and whose safety is believed to be in danger.
