A 60-year-old man who was sitting on a Koreatown roadway when he was fatally struck by an SUV was identified Friday.
His name was Adrian Lyons, according to the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office. His place of residence was not immediately available.
Lyons was sitting in the far right lane of southbound Vermont Avenue south of Seventh Street at 12:35 a.m. Thursday when he was struck by the southbound Chevrolet SUV, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman told City News Service.
The SUV driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities, the spokesman said.
News video showed officers putting a white canopy around the pedestrian’s body as the investigation got underway.
