A total of 10 people were arrested during a DUI checkpoint in Jurupa Valley, authorities announced Saturday.

The checkpoint was conducted near the intersections of Mission and Daly Avenues from 8 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

A total of 457 vehicles were contacted, resulting in the arrest of five people suspected of driving under the influence. Five others were arrested on suspicion of driving with a suspended license, according to the sheriff’s department.

Funding for the checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety.
