A 33-year-old man who was fatally shot by deputies in Bellflower was identified Monday.
The shooting occurred at about 9:05 p.m. Friday in the 10400 block of Artesia Boulevard as deputies responded to a reported assault with a deadly weapon suspect who was armed with a firearm, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.
Deputies made contact with the suspect and the shooting occurred, authorities said.
The man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
He was identified Monday by the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office as Lee Davidson. The ME’s office said he sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
No deputies were injured.
