A man barricaded himself in a house in Lancaster Thursday evening.
Deputies assigned to the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station, with assistance from Special Enforcement Bureau personnel, responded at approximately 7 p.m. Thursday to the 3700 block of West Avenue K, where a male suspect had barricaded himself, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Special Enforcement Bureau personnel assumed the tactical command, with assistance from Crisis Negotiation Team personnel, who attempted to make contact with the suspect to bring the standoff to a peaceful resolution, sheriff’s officials said.
