An investigation was underway Thursday into the shooting death of a man inside a vehicle in Van Nuys.
The shooting occurred at 4:56 p.m. Wednesday at 14919 Vanowen St., a Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman told City News Service.
A man in his early 20s was inside a vehicle with two other males when a male suspect fired at the vehicle striking the victim, she said.
He was rushed to a hospital in a private vehicle where he was pronounced dead, the spokeswoman said.
The suspect fled the scene.
The name of the victim was not released and the ages of the other males in the car were not available.
