A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle Friday in San Jacinto.
The crash was reported at 2:04 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Ramona Expressway and Lake Park Drive, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Arriving deputies found a pedestrian unresponsive in the roadway. Deputies and paramedics attempted lifesaving measures, but the individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the pedestrian was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The motorist cooperated with investigators at the scene.
Neither alcohol nor drugs appear to be factors in the crash, the department stated.
