A Silver Alert was activated Monday for an at-risk 71-year-old man was last seen in the Westlake district of Los Angeles.
Byoung Lim was last seen at about 5 p.m. Friday near Lucas Avenue and Wilshire Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Lim was described as a 5-foot-8-inch-tall man weighing 170 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Authorities believe Lim is possibly traveling on foot. Anyone with information regarding Lim’s whereabouts was urged to call 911.
The CHP activates a Silver Alert when an elderly or developmentally or cognitively impaired person goes missing and is determined to be at-risk to help them be recovered more quickly.
