A man was fatally shot Monday and crashed into the front yard of a Lancaster home.
Deputies responded about 12:43 a.m. Monday to the 16200 block of Sweetaire Avenue, where they found the victim after his vehicle came to rest in the yard of the residence, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The victim, identified only as an adult man, was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
According to a videographer at the scene, neighbors said the victim did not live at the home where the vehicle crashed.
No suspect description was immediately available, and the motive for the shooting remained under investigation.
