A car struck the Encino-Tarzana Branch library in Tarzana Tuesday, causing minor injuries to the driver, but injuring no one inside.

The crash was reported at 10:41 a.m. Tuesday at 18231 W. Ventura Boulevard, near Lindley Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The driver was being assessed at the scene for possible injuries, but it was not immediately clear if the person was seriously hurt or required hospital transport.

A water leak of some kind also resulted and crews diverted the flow from entering the building.

The building did not appear to have sustained significant structural damage, according to an early report from the LAFD.
