A parked RV caught fire in East Hollywood Tuesday, with flames spreading to two homes.
The fire was reported around 1 a.m. in the 1200 block of North Normandie Avenue, between Fountain Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
At the request of the Los Angeles Fire Department, officers were sent to provide traffic and crowd control in the area at 1:14 a.m., according to the LAPD.
According to a report from the scene, the RV was parked between two residences and flames spread to both.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
Smoke could be seen rising from the blaze as firefighters worked to control the conflagration, which took about 45 minutes to extinguish.
A videographer said that one of the homes was heavily damaged, with a second superficially burned.
