A Silver Alert was activated Tuesday on behalf of an at-risk 67-year-old man diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder who was last seen in the Westlake district.

Carter Frederick was last seen at approximately 1 p.m. Saturday near the 1200 block of Wilshire Boulevard, near PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital, according to the Los Angeles Police Department, with the California Highway Patrol activating the alert.

Frederick was described as a 5-foot-8-inch-tall white man weighing 150 pounds with brown hair and eyes. He was last seen wearing dark-colored pants and socks.

Anyone with information about Frederick’s whereabouts was urged to call the Olympic Area Detectives at 213-382-9102 or 911. Calls during non-business hours should be directed to 877-527-3247. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or visit lacrimestoppers.org.

The CHP activates a Silver Alert when an elderly or developmentally or cognitively impaired person goes missing and is determined to be at-risk to help them be recovered more quickly.
