Authorities Monday released the name of a teen-aged man whose death in Santa Clarita prompted an investigation by sheriff’s homicide detectives.

The death was reported at about 11:45 a.m. Sunday at a home in the 27000 block of Attwell Lane, in a neighborhood near Golden Valley Park, north of the Santa Clarita River, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Adam Tejero, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office.

No information was immediately available regarding the circumstances surrounding the death.

Anyone with information about the case was urged to contact the sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500. Anonymous tips may be provided through Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
