The Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau sought the public’s assistance Monday in locating the suspect in the fatal shooting of a 14-year-old boy in February 2025 in the unincorporated Willowbrook area.
Elijah Le’chon Novelle Davenport was shot Feb. 28, 2025, while sitting inside a parked vehicle near the 13000 block of Jarvis Avenue, between Main and San Pedro Streets, two blocks south of El Segundo Boulevard, after being mistakenly identified as a gang member, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Detectives believe there may be individuals with information or surveillance video of the shooting and are requesting that individuals come forward.
